Google Gemini vs. ChatGPT-4: Which is the best AI?

  • by

Google’s Gemini AI and OpenAI’s ChatGPT model-4 are today’s most powerful artificial intelligence. These AIs can interact with text, images, video, audio and codes. They also provide more valuable information that would cost a fortune with human experts. But if you want to invest your valuable time and energy in learning how to use it, you want to pick the best AI. So, we come to the bigger question, which AI is more capable? Gemini or GPT-4?

What can they do?

The main features of Gemini AI and GPT-4 are very similar. Both AIs can interact with text, images, audio, videos and code, allowing you to use them for various tasks. With both of these, chatbots can have general conversations, ask quick questions and ask suggestions to streamline your code to make it more efficient with both chatbots.

1. Regarding extension and ecosystem, Gemini and GPT-4 artificial intelligence can be boosted with additional attachments. Gemini AI can use Google flight, hotels, Maps, YouTube, and Google Workspace applications, which allows it to interact with documents, sheets and slides.

2. In terms of customization, OpenAI GPT-4 is superior to Google Gemini. GPT-4 allows you to create custom chatbots focusing on particular tasks. Gemini will only enable you to create new chats. Currently, there are no customization options.

3. Response time is significantly quicker in Gemini. GPT-4 does not have server capabilities, and the sheer volume of users could make GPT-4 responses slow down or even stop altogether, rendering GPT-4 ineffective for short durations. Gemini response times are rapid.

4. Both tools offer the option of fact-checking them in a certain way. GPT-4 will provide links to the source for the claims they make after its responses. Gemini offers an opportunity that lets you run a Google search of the information you’re seeking to verify it yourself.

Availability & Pricing

Both Gemini AI and GPT-4 are available in one form or another. The Gemini Pro model is free; you need a Google Account. GPT-4 is only available on ChatGPT with a GPT-plus active subscription, which costs you $20 monthly.

You can use ChatGPT-3.5 for free at https://chat.openai.com. Microsoft’s Bing chat lets you use GPT-4 with limited features. Other tools also allow you to use GPT-4 for free with limited features, but the primary way to use the device with full potential is through ChatGPT.

It is also important to note that the Gemini Pro model is not the final form; Google has promised that Gemini Ultra, the most advanced large-language model, will be released later this year. When launching Gemini Pro, Google also launched Gemini Nano, which runs locally on Android smartphones and has limited features.

So, which is better?

Gemini and ChatGPT-4 are the two most popular models, each with unique capabilities. Gemini is built to be multimodal, and integration with Google makes it powerful for audio, video, and image processing. GPT-4’s advancements in language processing have made it a dominant force in text-based AI tasks.

However, the choice between Gemini vs. ChatGPT-4 entirely depends on the user’s specific needs and the nature of the task. Also, better AI is about more than just processing data faster. It is about which AI can boost human effort more effectively. As new artificial intelligence arrives regularly and existing AI continues to evolve, the capabilities and applications of these AI models will expand, making it an exciting era in artificial intelligence.
